1987      1988     1989

1989 saw the first national competition involving kitted teams. 33 Teams competed for the first BYAFA kitted bowl - There is - in my opinion - a misconception that this was in fact the second BYAFA Kitted national championship. I hope documentation will shortly become available to prove either way.

Tiptree Titans off the back of their Two Touch National Championship the previous year were hot favourites, along with the Delyn Heroes who had several kitted games under their belt.

The NDMA, the top tier of senior football, started their own youth league - which the Leicester Panthers won.

In the Two Touch division, 37 teams competed for the 3rd two touch national Championship,

In the newly created Micro division (8-14 year olds) the Heathrow Jets and Newmarket  created history when they played their final before the American Bowl at Wembley Stadium!
